As serious concerns about the rise in obesity are being raised all over Europe and beyond, the savoury snack industry is committed to working with governments, health professionals and other stakeholders to ensure that the nutritional benefits of snack products can continue to be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet and an active lifestyle......
The benefits of adding salt to foods for flavour and texture have long been recognised. But, as salt consumed from processed foods has risen, governments and other bodies are aiming to encourage consumers to limit salt intake for health reasons. ESA is the only trade association dedicated to the advancement of the European savoury snacks industry.
Our international membership includes the companies which make many of the world's favourite snack brands, as well as smaller, specialist companies and suppliers to the industry such as flavour houses, food processors, and equipment providers.
